CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Bears are in a hole.
The defending NFC North champions are off to their worst start since 2007 at 2-3. Their 24-13 loss at Detroit on Monday night left them three games behind the Lions and Green Bay, the last two unbeaten teams in the NFL.
The Bears have not found the right balance on offense and their defense is giving up huge chunks of yards. It hasn’t helped playing the Packers, Saints and Lions — teams that have three of the best quarterbacks in the league.
Bears running back Matt Forte says there is “never a time for panic,” but he also says Chicago needs “to have a sense of urgency.” The Bears host Minnesota on Sunday night.
