Letter: Block Obama at every turn possible

Toni Jacobsen’s Oct. 13 letter, “Republicans are just plain mean,” states that the Republicans are blocking everything President Obama proposes and “do they think it is going to get them re-elected?” The answer is a resounding “yes.”

Yes, they are blocking his misguided ideas and yes, they will be re-elected. This is why conservatives swept the congressional elections last November and they will gain control of the Senate and executive office in 2012. What do you liberals not understand?

The Democrats controlled the executive office and both houses for more than two years with no Republicans able to block any of their great ideas or bills so what do we have to show for their actions? Additional debt (failed stimulus), higher unemployment, millions of wasted tax dollars on green energy scandals like Solyndra, increased regulations hampering the economy and domestic energy production, hundreds of millions of dollars to state unions (short-term fixes now without funding again) and a third war in Libya.

Obama’s latest jobs bill was more of the same “spend/borrow what we don’t have and worry about it later.” With Obama’s failed policies everywhere you look over the past three years of course we want his ideas blocked. What don’t you get?
