ATLANTA (AP) — Dabo Swinney never lost his exuberance, even when plenty of Clemson fans questioned whether he was the right coach to lead their football program.

These days, he’s feeling comfortable enough to show off his dance moves.

After the Tigers romped past North Carolina for their eighth straight win last week, Swinney broke out some gyrations in the locker room that were part Cabbage Patch, part Running Man. Offensive lineman Brandon Thomas just shakes his head and says of his coach, “He tries his best.”

Swinney may need to work on his dancing, but no one is complaining about his coaching. The Tigers are 5-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and off to their best start since 2000 heading into Saturday night’s game against Georgia Tech.
