IRVING, Texas (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys have waived injured running back Tashard Choice.
The move was made Saturday before the team departed for Philadelphia. Rookie linebacker Bruce Carter was activated from the non-football injury list and will likely make his NFL debut against the Eagles on Sunday night.
Choice suffered a shoulder injury in the third quarter last Sunday against St. Louis, when he started before rookie DeMarco Murray set a Cowboys franchise record with 253 yards rushing against St. Louis.
If Choice clears waivers, the Cowboys will then reach an injury settlement with him.
In a tweet Saturday, the fourth-year player from Georgia Tech wrote, “My time in Dallas has come to an end and the best is yet come. God bless.”
