MADRAS, Ore. (AP) — A 17-year-old driver was killed and four other people were injured when her car collided with another car Sunday on Highway 26 near Madras.

Oregon State Police say that when the teen’s car drifted onto the shoulder she overcorrected and hit the oncoming car. She died at the scene. Police identified her as 17-year-old Olivia Jeanne Mockus of Bend.

A passenger in her car was hospitalized and released Sunday. The driver of the other car, a 38-year-old Portland woman, and her two children, ages 8 and 12, were taken to a Madras hospital with minor injuries.
