WARRENTON, Ore. (AP) — Oregon State Police say a north Oregon coast collision between a Warrenton School District bus and a pickup truck injured six students — one of them seriously — and the pickup truck driver.

The students ranged in age from 6 to 16. Senior Trooper James Pierce says 16-year-old Serena Goniwicha was transferred to a Portland hospital for treatment of her injuries. Five other students were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment of minor injuries. A seventh student was apparently unhurt.

Pierce says the pickup driver, 64-year-old John N. Cook of Gearhart, was also transferred to a Portland hospital with serious injuries.

The Monday afternoon collision at the intersection of Highway 101 and Perkins Road is under investigation.
