INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Colts quarterback Kerry Collins is eager for a second chance to make a first impression.
After losing two fumbles in the first quarter of last week’s dismal loss at Houston, Collins has been working overtime to get things right.
He believes another week of study will help him and his teammates refine their timing, get on the same page and look more like the high-powered offense people expect from Indianapolis.
Collins turned in mediocre numbers at Houston — 16-of-31 passing for 197 yards, one touchdown and an 82.3 rating that few realize was actually better than Houston’s Matt Schaub.
The only number Collins cared about was the 34-7 score, something he hopes to rectify Sunday against Cleveland.
