Rubble from burned Astoria buildings is recyclable

ASTORIA, Ore. (AP) — Demolition work has reduced historic buildings burned on Astoria’s waterfront to rubble, and an excavation crew thinks it can recycle most of the material.

The Daily Astorian reports (http://bit.ly/npEQU0 ) demolition of the properties has finally gone through since fires ravage the buildings in December.

Authorities have labeled the fire suspicious, but no arrests have been made.
