Letter: Progress blocked by GOP agenda

The president has finally accepted that the Republican Party has three primary agendas and his effort to jointly work positively on behalf of the nation to solve our nation’s worst economic problems in modern times will not happen.

The Republicans only want the rich to get richer; to get their hands on our Social Security monies and to make Barack Obama a one-term president.

The Republicans said they had heard the voice of the American people and went to Washington to do our bidding. In fact what they heard was the cooing of their corporate masters and the sweet whisperings of the Tea Party. Well, they’re about to hear the roar of the real American people and it’ll blow them right back to where they came from.

Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, claims to be an independent voice. We’re not fooled by this. Her adherence to the party line even against the best interests of her constituents tell us all we need to know.

Republicans, pack your bags, your day of reckoning is nigh.
