NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have deactivated starting safety Chris Hope, while the Baltimore Ravens scratched starting left guard Ben Grubbs.
Both Hope and Grubbs had been doubtful for Sunday’s game with Hope recovering after dislocating his shoulder in the Titans’ opener, and Grubbs has a toe injury. The Titans are starting veteran Jordan Babineaux for Hope, who is making $6.5 million this season. The Ravens did not announce who will start for Grubbs, but veteran Andre Gurode is his backup.
The Titans also scratched their third quarterback Rusty Smith along with starting defensive end William Hayes (shoulder).
Baltimore also deactivated Chris Carr (thigh), cornerback Jimmy Smith (ankle), linebacker Sergio Kindle and nose tackle Brandon McKinney.
