INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Peyton Manning has made his first appearance at the Indianapolis Colts practice facility since he had neck surgery on Sept. 8.
The four-time league MVP showed up at Monday’s short workout, but did not participate. Teammate Reggie Wayne greeted him with a nod, then told reporters that Manning is “walking it off.”
Manning missed Indy’s first two games after having his third neck surgery in 19 months. The Colts lost both games and are 0-2 for the first time since 1998 when Manning was a rookie.
Indy’s franchise quarterback is expected to miss at least two months and possibly the entire season as he recovers.
