Letter: Riley connects to district’s sentiment

The Columbian
Published: September 20, 2011, 5:00pm

The Democrats in the 49th district have pushed for a state income tax numerous times while their constituents repeatedly vote against it. Last year, through the initiative process, we voted overwhelmingly to require a two-thirds majority to raise taxes and to remove the candy tax, yet voters re-elected 49th district representatives who sponsored the very bills we oppose.

Connect your desires with your representative. Vote Craig Riley for state representative in the 49th. He supports the two-thirds majority and opposes state income tax and tax increases, especially during a recession.
