LAUREL, Ind. (AP) — Investigators are awaiting the results of autopsies on five people found dead in a rural Indiana neighborhood in hopes that the examinations might yield some clue as to how they were killed and who killed them.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Jerry Goodin says there’s no manhunt going on in the area near Laurel, 50 miles southeast of Indianapolis. He says police have no suspects.

He says investigators don’t know what prompted the killings or whether the killer is among the dead.

Police haven’t identified the victims, but neighbors and family members say they’ve been told they were four members of the same family and another neighbor.

The final autopsy is to be conducted Tuesday.
