DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — David Lang kicked three field goals — two 35-yarders in the fourth quarter, the last with 1:31 left — enabling Butler to upset Dayton 29-27 Saturday in a Pioneer Football League game.

The Bulldogs (3-2, 1-1) needed a last-minute interception by Nick Caldicott to beat the Flyers (3-2, 1-1).

The defeat ended an 11-game conference winning streak for Dayton. Will Bardo ran for one touchdown and passed for two more before Pat Dowd blocked a punt and returned it 42 yards for a 27-23 lead midway through the fourth quarter. But quarterback Andrew Huck, who threw for 255 yards and three touchdowns, brought the Bulldogs back.

Huck led Butler on two 10-play scoring drives in the final period. The first, resulting in Lang’s 35-yard field goal, cut it to 27-26. Lang then connected again from 35 yards with 1:31 to play and Caldicott’s interception sealed the upset.
