Deputies with the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office are asking for help in their investigation of the theft of more than $75,000 worth of gold and silver coins and other items last week.

The items were stolen Wednesday from a home about four miles southeast of Kelso, a Cowlitz sheriff’s office bulletin said. The homeowner did not want his name or address released.

In addition to the coins, the homeowner reported the theft of a .22-caliber pistol, .22-caliber rifle, .30-06 Springfield rifle, 20-gauge shotgun, 12-gauge shotgun, and a blue Yamaha Raptor ATV.

A large safe was also stolen — leading deputies to believe more than one person was involved in the crime.

Anyone with information should call the sheriff’s office at 360-577-3092. To remain anonymous, call Cowlitz Crime Stoppers at 360-577-1206.
