The Washington State Patrol has arrested for alleged DUI a driver who rear-ended a stopped school bus with 10 children on board.

It happened at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on state Highway 503 about seven miles north of Battle Ground.

A 2012 school bus driven by Dean M. Flohaug, 59, of Yacolt stopped at a marked bus stop to let children off, according to a state patrol release. Ronald W. Combs, 59, also of Yacolt failed to stop his 1993 Honda Accord in time and hit the bus.

Ten children were on the bus, but no one was reported injured.

The crash was caused by impairment and speeding too fast, state patrol said.

Combs was cited for DUI.
