More than 600 walkers took part in the Clark County March for Babies on Saturday, raising $95,000 for the March of Dimes.

“Thanks to everyone who came out in support of babies,” said Tom Tongue, shareholder at Schawbe, Williamson & Wyatt and Greater Oregon March of Dimes Board Chair. “We’ve made a difference in the lives of children and their families, and we should be excited about what we’ve accomplished here today.”

Tongue said Oregon and Southwest Washington marchers raised $1.25 million.

March of Dimes works to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. For the latest resources and information, visit http://marchofdimes.com or http://nacersano.org.
