CHICAGO (AP) — White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski and manager Robin Ventura have been ejected from Chicago’s game against the Seattle Mariners.
Pierzynski was thrown out for apparently arguing balls and strikes with one out in the top of the third inning Saturday night. When Ventura charged out of the dugout to protest, he also was ejected and had to be separated from plate umpire Lance Barrett by third base umpire and crew chief Jim Joyce.
After an exchange of several minutes, Ventura left and Tyler Flowers took over behind the plate for Pierzynski.
