TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — No. 2 Alabama’s offensive line is the most established unit for the defending national champions.
Led by Outland Trophy winner Barrett Jones, the group has four returning starters joined by a talented youngster.
Jones has moved from left tackle to center, making way for Cyrus Kouandjio (kwan-RO), who was rated one of the nation’s Top 5 recruits a year ago.
Right tackle D.J. Fluker and guards Chance Warmack and Anthony Steen are also back.
They’ll line up against No. 8 Michigan in the opener. Wolverines coach Brady Hoke says “that’s as good an offensive line as I’ve seen in college football.”
