Country band donates to Special Olympics

Washougal — Portland country band Carrie Cunningham and the Six Shooters performed at Washougal’s Pendleton Mills Centennial Celebration on Aug. 4. Singer Carrie Cunningham presented a $150 check to the Clark County Special Olympics. Rick Cook and Elizabeth Francis of the Special Olympics group were on hand to receive the donation. “It’s donations such as these, that add up quick and help us to purchase uniforms and equipment for our athletes here in Clark County,” Francis said.
