Seton Catholic officially had its first varsity football game Friday night under lights at Doc Harris Stadium.

In addition to the first varsity game, Seton also scored its first touchdown off of a 10 yard run by quarterback Will Noce-Sheldon.

Castle Rock scored nine rushing touchdowns in the game.

“We had 15 players that saw the field tonight,” Seton coach Dan Chase said. “The cool thing is that the kids worked hard for each other out there, not letting tiredness get in the way.”

The Rockets plowed over the Cougars defense, totaling 541 offensive yards while Seton had 95 offensive yards.

“The great thing about this team is that we come from a school that teaches you to bring your morals to the field,” Noce-Sheldon said. “We have places to improve in, but we really have come together as a team.”

Seton Catholic plays its second game of the season against Ilwaco next Friday.

“There is only room for improvement from here on out,” senior Erik Powell said. “I know we will be able to pull together and have a great season.”
