EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Colt Ryan scored 18 points, leading four Evansville players in double figures, and the Purple Aces hit 14 of 18 3-point attempts in routing Miami of Ohio 94-68 Wednesday night.
Ned Cox and DJ Balentine had 15 points apiece and Troy Taylor contributed 11 points and nine rebounds for Evansville (5-3). The Purple Aces shot 63 percent overall and Balentine, who was 5 for 6 in 3-point tries, led the 78 percent shooting from behind the arc.
Evansville also had a 38-13 rebounding edge.
Miami shot 49 percent from the field — 65 percent after halftime — but the RedHawks (3-4) couldn’t overcome the Purple Aces’ 20-point halftime lead.
Allen Roberts led Miami with 15 points. Jon Harris scored 13 and Reggie Johnson had 11 points.
