NEW YORK (AP) — Nets center Brook Lopez missed a sixth straight game because of a sprained right foot, sitting out Tuesday night against the New York Knicks.
The Nets hoped Lopez would be able to return, listing him Monday as a game-time decision, but coach Avery Johnson said everyone involved decided earlier Tuesday that Lopez was not ready.
Lopez won’t travel to Toronto for the Nets’ game Wednesday, and Johnson says he will get more treatment and work out Thursday before it’s determined if Lopez can play Friday against Detroit.
Andray Blatche started again for Lopez, who leads the Nets with 18.5 points per game.
