Nevada beats Cal Poly 69-56

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Malik Story scored 19 points and Nevada never trailed in beating Cal Poly 69-56 Tuesday night.

Story hit 5 of 7 from 3-point range. Jordan Burris had 13 points and Jerry Evans Jr. grabbed 14 rebounds for the Wolf Pack (6-4). The score was tied at 15 but Nevada took control from there and led 40-25 at halftime.

Nevada shot 45 percent from the field while Cal Poly made 32 percent of its outside shots.

Dylan Royer led the Mustangs (3-4) with 13 points. Brian Bennett added 10 points. Cal Poly has lost two of three since winning at UCLA 70-68 on Nov. 25.

This was the first meeting of the teams since 2000.
