VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) — Juevol Myles scored 32 points and South Dakota made a school-record 43 free throws in an 85-75 victory against Morehead State on Wednesday night.
Karim Rowson had 17 points for the Coyotes (5-7), who attempted 50 shots from the line en route to snapping a three-game losing streak. Myles hit 15 of 16 free-throw tries and Rowson 11 of 14.
Maurice Lewis-Briggs had 24 points and 13 rebounds for the Eagles (5-6).
South Dakota’s free-throw total eclipsed the previous mark of 41 (in 50 attempts) against Augustana during the 1995-96 season.
Brandon Bos had 12 points for South Dakota and is averaging 14.5 points in the two games since he was put in the starting lineup.
