LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky junior guard Jon Hood is out of Saturday’s game against Marshall with a respiratory illness.

Wildcats athletic spokesman John Hayden also said in an email that Hood will not be on the bench against the Thundering Herd.

Hood missed last season with a torn ACL sustained during summer workouts. The 6-foot-7, 212-pounder did not play in two of Kentucky’s first four games this season but has been in the past six, scoring a season-high six points against Samford on Dec. 4 and logging nine minutes a week ago against Lipscomb.

Hood is averaging 1.8 points per game.
