OREGON CITY, Ore. (AP) — The Clackamas County sheriff’s office says its search and rescue team helped save a climber injured in a fall on Mount Hood.

The 35-year-old woman slid about 300 feet Sunday on glacier ice and suffered leg and rib injuries near Crater Rock, above Timberline Lodge.

Mount Hood Ski Patrol responded first, and the sheriff’s office coordinated other rescuers who carried her to an ambulance that took her to Legacy Emmanuel Medical Center in Portland.
