SAO PAULO (AP) — Rio Olympic organizers say Nissan has been added as the fifth top-tier sponsor for the 2016 Games.
Organizers did not disclose financial details on Wednesday, but said the deal with the car maker for the Olympic and Paralympic Games exceeded “the requirements from Rio 2016 for the category.”
The committee said Nissan will provide 4,500 vehicles to transport athletes, officials and journalists during the games.
Nissan is the sixth domestic sponsor for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
