AP National Writer (AP) — The lavender dress Sarah Hughes wore for the long program is in a museum, and her Olympic gold medal is tucked away for safekeeping.

Her memories of the Salt Lake City Games, however, are always with her. The 2002 Olympic champ says she remembers “everything as if it was just yesterday” though it also feels like a “different lifetime” because she was just 16 then.

Hughes returns to Salt Lake City on Saturday night for a “Stars on Ice” show celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the Winter Games. Also appearing are Jamie Sale and David Pelletier, in their first trip back to the Olympic arena since they were caught up in the judging scandal that rocked the Salt Lake City Games.
