OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Republican gubernatorial candidate Rob McKenna isn’t ready to endorse any of his party’s presidential hopefuls, even during next month’s caucuses.
McKenna campaign spokesman Charles McCray said Tuesday that the attorney general plans to visit a few different caucus locations on March 3 to encourage people who are participating. But McCray says McKenna won’t be voting for or endorsing any candidates.
Washington’s caucuses are beginning to draw the attention of the Republican presidential candidates as the nominating race remains in flux. Only two more states have votes before Washington’s caucuses. Washington is also the last state before the Super Tuesday vote that includes 10 other states.
Rick Santorum was the first to hold a public rally in the state Tuesday.
