PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A Libyan-American who says he was forbidden from returning to the United States and questioned by an FBI agent in Tunisia after visiting neighboring Libya insists he has done nothing wrong.

Jamal Tarhuni arrived at Portland International Airport Tuesday morning.

He traveled to Libya last year to help deliver humanitarian supplies. Tahuni says he was barred from flying home on a flight from Tunisia last month. He says he was questioned by an FBI agent but he stopped the interview after being asked to waive his Miranda rights.

Tarhuni says he does not know why he was allowed to fly home.

Tarhuni belongs to a Portland mosque that has been under scrutiny by federal investigators in years past.

The FBI has refused to comment on his case.
