ROTTERDAM, Netherlands (AP) — Roger Federer extended his perfect record against Jarkko Nieminen with a 7-5, 7-6 (2) win Friday to reach the semifinals at the ABN Amro World Tennis Tournament.

The top-seeded Federer did not face a single break point in his 13th straight win over the Fin dating to 2002. The No. 3-ranked Swiss will face Nikolay Davydenko, who dispatched fifth-seeded Frenchman Richard Gasquet 7-5, 6-3.

Davydenko, seeking his first title since winning at Munich last May, already lost to Federer in the season-opening Qatar Open in January and has won only two of his last 18 meetings against the 16-time Grand Slam champion.

Third-seeded Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina reached the semifinals with a 6-0, 6-1 win over seventh-ranked Viktor Troicki of Serbia. Del Potro will play second-seeded Tomas Berdych, who ousted Andreas Seppi of Italy 6-3, 6-4.
