The Thunder battled to keep close despite a cold-shooting night before the Blazers pulled away from the free-throw line.

Timberline made 8 of 8 free throws in the fourth quarter of an elimination game in the Class 3A bi-district tournament.

“We were only behind three points with two minutes to go,” Mountain View coach Mat Clark said. “Shooting just killed us all night. The kids ran the game plan and got great looks all night. But it was just one of those nights when shots would not fall for us.”

Carly Holboke led Mountain View (9-14) with 16 points and Emma DuChesne added 13.
