Plane makes emergency landing in Klamath Falls

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) — An Allegiant flight from Phoenix to Bellingham safely made an emergency landing Tuesday night at Klamath Falls with a generator malfunction.

The 154 passengers waited at Klamath Falls Airport for a relief flight.

Allegiant spokeswoman Jessica Wheeler told the Herald and News (http://is.gd/RHSrVo ) the pilot of the MD-80 felt diverting the flight was the safest thing to do.
