Michigan State women top No. 23 Nebraska 73-53

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Klarissa Bell scored 19 points to pace Michigan State to its third straight victory with a 73-53 decision over No. 23 Nebraska on Thursday night.

Taylor Alton hit four 3-pointers and scored 18 points for the Spartans (18-10, 10-5 Big Ten), who shot 52 percent (29 of 56) and went 9 of 18 from long range. Porsche Poole added 13 points and nine assists.

Jordan Hooper continued her streak of hitting double figures in every game this season as she led the Cornhuskers (20-7, 9-6) with 15 points. Kaitlyn Burke added 13.

Leading 7-6, Michigan State ran off 15 consecutive points for a 22-6 edge with 12:37 left in the first half.

The advantage reached 23 points four times, the first at 37-14 and the last at 50-27.

Michigan State, which has won six of its last seven, was facing Nebraska for the first time in history.
