NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Greg Mangano recorded a double-double, tallying game-highs of 16 points and 10 rebounds, to lead Yale in a 71-40 rout of Cornell on Saturday night.
Jesse Pritchard added 13 points and Austin Morgan chipped in with 11 for the Bulldogs (19-7, 9-3 Ivy league), who avenged a Feb. 10 overtime loss to the Big Red. The Bulldogs, in third place by one game, still have a chance at a conference title with two games left thanks to Harvard’s loss to Pennsylvania earlier Saturday.
Yale began to separate itself from the Big Red as the first half wore on, taking a 13-point lead into the locker room. The Bulldogs then cruised past the Big Red, outscoring them 34-16 in the second half to seal it.
Chris Wroblewski was the lone player in double figures for Cornell (11-15, 6-6), scoring 10 points.
