Accused Hoquiam teacher resigns

HOQUIAM, Wash. (AP) — A Hoquiam High School teacher charged with voyeurism and communicating with a minor for immoral purposes has resigned.

KBKW reports (http://is.gd/NVTHCA ) Wesley Phillips tendered his resignation Wednesday at a special school board meeting.

The 41-year-old science teacher was placed on administrative leave after his arrest in January when police seized computers from his home and the school.

He’s accused of contact with as many as four girls, 12 and 13 years old. They were not his students.
