GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) — Josephine County crews recovered the body of a 22-year-old man from an SUV that crashed into the Rogue River about 30 miles northwest of Grants Pass near the Grave Creek Bridge.

The sheriff’s office says fishermen spotted the car Tuesday, mostly submerged. It apparently crashed Monday night down a 300-foot embankment.

The Oregonian reports (http://is.gd/LwbYkJ) the driver, Stevyn Christopher Engle of Grants Pass, was the only person inside.
