NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Alabama won the BCS title game just two years ago, but coach Nick Saban says it’s natural for the team to have some anxiety before Monday night’s championship against No. 1 LSU.

The second-ranked Crimson Tide beat Texas at the Rose Bowl in 2010, and — speaking at BCS media day — Saban says some of the older players on his team have helped the underclassmen deal with any butterflies they may have. Saban says football is an emotional game but emotion can’t sustain you for 60 minutes and players have to focus to win.

Friday’s media day was being held on the floor of the Superdome, where the title game will be played.
