Boys basketball: Ridgefield 79, La Center 60

Sam Landerholm scored 14 of his game-high 28 points from the free throw line as Ridgefield connected on 15 of 16 free throw attempts to win a Trico League game.

Austin Myers had 20 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks to lead La Center. Wyatt Aguirre added 18 points and four steals.

“We played hard, but we’ve got a young team,” La Center coach Herm VanWeerdhuizen said. “We just fell apart a little bit in the second half.”

Michael Schwinof added 12 points for Ridgefield, which outscored La Center 48-28 in the second half.
