ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Kendall Williams drained his first four 3-pointers en route to a season-high 21 points as New Mexico beat North Dakota 85-57 Saturday.
Drew Gordon had his ninth double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Lobos (14-2), who won their 12th straight game.
Troy Huff scored 22 points and added eight rebounds to lead UND (6-9). Patrick Mitchell, whose third 3-point make early in the second half brought UND within 42-34, scored 14 points in the losing effort.
The Lobos responded with a 2-possession, 7-point run. Tony Snell hit a 3-pointer along with a subsequent foul shot and moments later Jamal Fenton dropped in another 3-point shot to push the advantage to 49-34. New Mexico’s lead did not reach single digits the rest of the game.
