EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Atlanta Falcons starting safety William Moore suffered a groin injury in the first half against the New York Giants on Sunday and his return was listed as questionable.

The Giants also had a safety injured when Deon Grant sustained a quad injury. His return was also listed as questionable. While not a starter, Grant plays extensively when the Giants use alignments with three safeties, with one of the safeties playing as a quasi-linebacker.

With Moore hurt, the Falcons were without two of their four starters in the secondary. Cornerback Brent Grimes was inactive for the game with a knee injury.
