BEND, Ore. (AP) — Police say a 6-year-old boy who had been left asleep in a car while his mother drank at a Bend bar woke up early Sunday and went looking for her.
The security staff at a bar saw him wandering about 1 a.m. and called police.
Police jailed the 24-year-old mother on child neglect charges.
The Bulletin reports (http://is.gd/ZuaR2l ) the Oregon Department of Human Services was notified, and the boy was released to other family members.
