PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A judge has postponed a hearing for a Ukrainian hockey coach who is facing charges of having sexual contact with a teenage boy attending clinics in the U.S.

Ivan Pravilov made a court appearance Friday in Philadelphia. A judge postponed his detention hearing until Jan. 27.

Prosecutors want Pravilov kept in custody because they believe he’s a flight risk.

Pravilov was charged Tuesday with committing sex acts with a boy attending hockey clinics with him in the U.S.

According to court documents, a 14-year-old boy told investigators he had sexual contact with Pravilov at a Philadelphia apartment on Jan. 3 and a second teen gave an identical account.

An attorney for Pravilov didn’t return messages seeking comment.
