MURRAY, Ky. (AP) — No. 11 Murray State hasn’t lost at home since Eastern Illinois knocked them off last season.
The undefeated Racers (20-0, 8-0 Ohio Valley Conference) are still smarting from that setback as they prepare for Saturday’s matchup as the only undefeated team left in men’s Division I basketball.
Murray State will have two key contributors back with Ivan Aska returning from a broken right hand that cost him six games and reserve guard Stacy Wilson, who missed one because of a death in the family.
Murray State is off to the best start since St. Joseph’s won its first 27 games in 2004, but they’re mindful of what happened when Jeremy Granger lifted the Panthers (9-10, 2-5) to a 61-60 victory with a basket in the closing seconds.
