BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) — Stephan Hicks scored 26 points and Josh Greene 16 to lead Cal State Northridge to a 76-68 victory against Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday night.
Stephen Maxell added 12 points and Ari Feldman 10 for the Matadors (6-12), who shot 61 percent (25 of 41) from the floor and won at Bakersfield for the first time since Jan. 13, 1990.
Donald Johnson had 18 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks, and Issiah Grayson added 15 points, nine assists and four steals for the Roadrunners (11-11).
Zach Lamb’s jumper got Cal State Bakersfield within 71-67 with 1:47 remaining, but the Roadrunners failed to score on their next possession and were forced to foul. Cal State Northridge protected its lead with six free throws in the final 36 seconds.
Lamb and Stephon Carter had 12 points each for the Roadrunners.
