LONDON (AP) — Dwain Chambers has been selected for Britain’s Olympic track and field team.

The British Olympic Association was forced to overturn a lifetime ban on the 34-year-old sprinter for a doping offense in 2003.

Chambers was one of 71 track and field athletes chosen Tuesday. He is joined by world and European 5,000-meter champion Mo Farah and 400 hurdles world champ Dai Greene.

Beijing 2008 triple jump silver medalist Philips Idowu will compete in his fourth games. Also on the team is Olympic 400 champion Christine Ohuruogu.

Chambers is from London and says “representing my country in an Olympics is a privilege that should never be taken for granted.” He thanked the selectors for the “confidence and faith” they placed in him.
