PARIS (AP) — The French Basketball Federation says Tony Parker can play in the Olympic Games after the San Antonio Spurs medical staff agreed that the guard has fully recovered from an eye injury.

Parker scratched his cornea during a nightclub fight in New York last month.

The French federation said on its website on Friday that the Spurs medical staff “confirmed the opinion of the French doctor who operated on Tony Parker and the two Swiss specialists,” and agreed that he can “resume playing.”

Parker is joining the French squad in Orleans and he could play in a tuneup against England on Saturday.

France’s first game at the Olympics is against the United States on July 29.
