An east Clark County man wanted for multiple counts of child rape was arrested Thursday in Vancouver.

Vancouver police received a tip that Mark Lunde, 45, was in the city and detained him at about 6 p.m., according to KPTV television in Portland.

After Vancouver officers called Camas police, Lunde was arrested on suspicion of multiple felony sex crimes. He’s being held in the Clark County Jail.

Lunde now faces charges of third-degree child rape and possession of child pornography depicting a little girl, who is a relative of one of Lunde’s associates. The incidents allegedly occurred between summer 2011 and late April, according to Camas police Sgt. Chuck Nadgwick.

Camas officers first alerted media about Lunde in May, when they described him as a transient who lived in the Camas-Washougal area.
