ST. LOUIS (AP) — St. Louis Rams defensive end Robert Quinn is facing charges for allegedly driving drunk.
The municipal court clerk in the St. Louis County town of Florissant says Quinn was pulled over by a police officer at 6:44 a.m. on July 10 on Interstate 270. She did not have specific details of the arrest. Florissant police did not return messages seeking comment.
In addition to the drunken-driving charge, Quinn is charged with failure to exercise a high degree of care, and with having no insurance.
Quinn was the Rams’ first-round draft pick in 2011, the 14th overall selection out of North Carolina. He was third on the team with five sacks in 2011.
Quinn does not have a listed phone number. A Rams spokeswoman says the team planned a statement later.
